The One True Sport

I almost never get to do anything like this. A majority of what you see here is all from one wrestling event, based out of Oakland, called Hoodslam. I grew up watching wrestling, and as the Attitude Era ended in WWE, Brock Lesnar burst on the scene and made my enjoyment of the show evaporate. There was no fun to him, and he was a symbol of things becoming ‘serious’. That is not Hoodslam. Hoodslam is performance art with athletics, humor, and crowd participation. It’s the distilled essence of a good time. Images contained here are from a show in 2017, and it got a lapsed fan back into watching “The One True Sport”.
